Energy Efficient LiFi Module for 6G Applications

We envision a world where everything and everyone is seamlessly connected via light fidelity (LiFi). A key enabler for this vision is LiFi components that can meet the demanding requirements for cost, size, power, and performance in consumer electronics such as smartphones and tablets. The aim of this project to create an advanced high speed and energy efficient LiFi transceiver module that will revolutionise optical wireless communications. Our project involves developing a high-speed, energy efficient LiFi module designed for 6G applications. This innovative technology leverages light to provide wireless connectivity, offering a solution to current challenges in RF-spectrum scarcity, security, and energy consumption in wireless communication. The module aims to achieve broad coverage with simple alignment, adhere to safety standards regarding optical power, and optimize energy efficiency. It also focuses on advancing detector technology to support high-speed data transmission with wide field-of-view, contributing significantly to the evolution of 6G telecommunications.
