The Reception, Collection and Treatment of Food Waste

The Council requires a suitably qualified contractor to provide the collection, reception, and treatment of food waste. The successful supplier will be responsible for receiving food waste delivered by the Council, collecting food waste from Council locations when required, and processing the waste through approved recycling methods such as anaerobic digestion or in-vessel composting in accordance with BSI PAS 110 or PAS 100 standards. A minimum of 95% of all food waste received under the contract must be recycled, producing quality compost and/or biogas outputs.
