North Ayrshire Council is looking to appoint a new supplier for the treatment of post-consumer mixed plastics, beverage cartons (cardboard lined cartons) cans & glass containers.
The project will be a DPS tender via the Scotland Excel Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the Treatment and Disposal of Recyclable and Residual Waste (SXL 27-17), Lot 1 - Treatment of Co-mingled Mixed Recyclate. The resultant contract will be in place for an initial 12 months, with an option to extend for 3 x 12 months periods.
For this waste stream it is estimated to be 7,300 tonnes per annum and this is anticipated to provide an income for the Council.
