Following the Storm Eowyn event in January 2025, the Council has experienced damage to the Oban Transit Berthing Facility units.
A dive survey by Shearwater Marine Services was carried out followed by a visit from the Haskoning Engineer to carry out a visual inspection. Haskoning provided a report commenting on the condition of the structure and advising of next steps to prepare an Options Appraisal.
Argyll and Bute Council now wish to engage Haskoning to prepare an Options Appraisal, making clear recommendations in respect of each of the breakwater pontoons.
