The Council currently utilises more than 200 software applications across all corporate services, as well as additional applications used in schools, which ICT Services have a limited record of. Due to a number of legacy systems and in many instances, a number of contracts awarded to the same supplier across different services, the Council’s software estate has become complicated and difficult to manage. Therefore, the Council requires the continuation of a Software Asset Management as a Service system which ensures licence compliance, software optimisation, audit readiness and cost reductions.
