Description

The council are seeking to explore opportunities for the provision of renewable energy from renewable energy assets on land not owned by Glasgow City Council, via a power purchase agreement (PPA) to Glasgow City Council at rates competitive with current purchasing costs, providing Glasgow City Council with reduced CO2 emissions in line with the Net Zero Carbon ambition of the Glasgow Climate Plan and the Glasgow City Council Carbon Management Plan.

The council are seeking to use this notice to request information and as a means of engaging with the market in order to:

Ascertain who can provide these services to the council
Refine our requirements and ensure we are maximising the opportunities for innovation
Gather feedback from suppliers on high level solution overviews
