The Scottish Government (SG) aims to support and continue to improve safeguarding against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse and Sexual Harassment (SEAH) in the delivery or management of all international development and humanitarian work in which we invest aid spend through our programmes. Safeguarding those we support and work with sits at the heart of our work and is embedded in our SG International Development Principles.There is a requirement for a Safeguarding Assessor and Trainer for Scottish Government International Development and Humanitarian Programmes to lead on:Due diligence: the assessment of policies and procedures in relation to safeguarding and whistleblowing (“the relevant policies”) submitted to SG by external organisations as part of a funding application process for international development or humanitarian funding, andTraining: the provision of training, as required, to the SG International Development team on best practice on/assessing of safeguarding policies and practices.More information provided in the attached Invitation to Tender document.
