Institutional storage platform. This platform supports the storage of user data as well as crucial underpinning storage for numerous institutional servers and services within the data centre.
This technology platform provides appropriate enterprise grade highly-available storage, which is designed to withstand multiple failures, and data is encrypted at rest for additional security. Institutional data is replicated between our two data centres (King’s College and Garthdee), allowing for resilience in the event of a data centre being unavailable, and there is also the capability for data snapshots allowing for point-in-time restoration in the event of accident deletion or modification.
