Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) is an executive agency of Scottish Government and manages Scotland’s Forest and Land. We manage land on behalf of Scottish Ministers and serve as part of the Environment and Forestry directorate of the Scottish Government.Forestry and Land Scotland seeks to understand deer numbers and movement better within the West and Central regions. By using thermal drones to count and monitor deer we aim to increase our cull setting accuracy and also understand the movement of deer between FLS blocks and between FLS and its neighbours.
