The City of Edinburgh Council wishes to appoint an independent chair to ensure that the Adult Protection and Support Committee which comprises of representatives from the NHS, Police Scotland, the Council and third sector members discharges its functions in accordance with national guidance. The Chair shall report to the Chief Officers’ Group on a regular basis as to the effectiveness of multi-agency activity, policy and guidance and ensure that issues are addressed in conjunction with other public protection Chairs.
