Marine Directorate is inviting tenders for the purchase of one refrigerated benchtop centrifuge at Marine Laboratory, Aberdeen.The refrigerated benchtop centrifuge is required as part of the analytical process leading to the analysis of chemical contaminants in marine sediments and biota (e.g. fish, shellfish, etc…). Analysis of organic and heavy metal contaminants in sediment and biota is required for the OSPAR Coordinated Environment Monitoring Programme (CEMP) and the UK Marine Strategy. Furthermore, analyses of organic and heavy metal contaminants is undertaken in Scotland by the MD as part of the UK Clean Seas Environment Monitoring Programme (CSEMP).
