In 2023, Stirling Council were successful in their bid for Levelling Up Funding (LUF), from UK Government. The Stirling LUF bid has two main components, the redevelopment of the old Ministry of Defence site in Forthside Stirling and the immediate area, and the delivery of high quality active travel connections from the adjacent neighbourhoods to the development site. The specification contained herein relates primarily to the Active Travel element of the bid, as well as some wider connections in the north east area of Stirling City.Stirling Council are seeking a response and costing to this brief for a feasibility study and comprehensive concept design package, in line with Sustrans deliverables for four key connections in the North East Stirling area.
