The Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 details the duties and provision of services to carers; it includes the identification of carers’ needs through adult carer support plans (ACSP) and young carer statements (YCS) as well as the establishment of an information and advice service for all carers. The proposed contract will form Moray Council’s responsibilities around the legislation. The service will be outcome focussed and will support unpaid carers of all ages.
In the interests of this service fulfilling its full potential, Moray Council are open to considering all avenues of support and new ideas about how best to structure and manage this key support service.
