The Scottish Government (SG), on behalf of the Scottish Ministers, wishes to commission an external audit of its long-term empty homes policy and interventions. This research is being commissioned by the More Homes Division of the Scottish Government (SG) on behalf of the Directorate for Local Government and Housing.
The intention is that the external audit will: (i) set out the scale of the problem and the factors that contribute to empty homes; (ii) identify learning from the use of various interventions and powers across Scotland to bring empty homes back into use; and (iii) review UK and other relevant approaches to determine their relevance to the Scottish context
