Enforcement is one of the National Litter and Fly tipping Strategy’s key themes, with the aim to deliver a strong and consistent enforcement model across Scotland that is fit for purpose, promotes positive behaviours and acts as a proportionate deterrent and effectively stops people from littering and flytipping.
The Scottish Government (SG), on behalf of the Scottish Ministers, is seeking to commission a contractor to undertake an evidence review into the barriers to enforcement of litter and flytipping offences to help shape the development of a more effective enforcement model.
