This relates to the procurement of a support agreement for maintaining our TEML 41 system. This is a safety critical system that was installed and has been maintained by Bombardier since date of install.
This system is SPT specific and was designed by Bombardier. However for several years, the function has moved over to Hitachi. As such Hitachi is the only contractor who is competent and willing to provide support of this safety critical system. It is also important to state that during the modernisation of the subway it is imperative that continuity of service with this system is required during the time of change for so many related systems.
