Forestry and Land Scotland have a commitment to construct a new forest road and maintain the existing forest road at Clashmore and within the Loch Ard Forest block. The road scheme comprises approximately 2100m of new forest road construction from the existing forest road to Coupe 34223, with a further 1200 meters of grading and associated maintenance of the block included in the works. The construction of the new forest road involves the excavation of the road formation, the placement of base rock and surfacing, the installation of culverts and the development of 2 x turning points, passing places and service bays.
