South Lanarkshire Council have an ongoing requirement to appoint a suitable supplier for the Supply and Distribution of Frozen Foods on behalf of Community and Enterprise’s Facilities, Waste and Grounds Services.
The Council have utilised the Scotland Excel Framework for Frozen Foods (10-16) for several years and the current arrangements on place are for the period 01 July 2017 to 20 June 2019, with the option to extend for a further 33 months. The extension was taken up and there is now a requirement for the renewal of this contract.
The renewal of the Scotland Excel Framework for Frozen Foods went live in April 2022 for a period of 4 years to 31 March 2026, with no option to extend. A review of this Framework resulted in our incumbent supplier, Brakes Bros Ltd, being the highest ranked supplier out of all 12 suppliers listed on the Framework
