The purpose of this Prior Information Notice is to alert interested suppliers of the commencement of a new procurement for Low Vision Aids to support the National Low Vision Service for Scotland. The framework agreement will be tendered in July 2022 and will cover the supply to multiple primary care locations within all geographical Health Board regions, including rural and island locations.
The Service will be implemented as a phased rollout over 4 years.
Although this list may be subject to change it is anticipated that the types of aid required will include, but not be restricted to:
UV filters, Hand-held, Pocket and Stand Magnifiers, Monoculars, Spectacle Mounted Kits, Task Lamps, Vision Charts, Electronic Magnifiers and Non-optical aids.
