Forestry and Land Scotland have a network of forest roads critical to supporting all access which enable the management of the estate. FLS produce our own road stone for use on our road network for new road construction, upgrading and maintenance of existing roads to ensure delivery of the business objectives. Medium Term Contracts (MTCs) are therefore required for all aspects of our quarry works, including safety. In order to meet our requirements we will appoint one single Contractor for all our quarrying needs (excluding drill and blast) our Central Region. The successful Contractor will be expected to respond to meet our program of work for that location. We will also appoint a reserve contractor who will only be utilised in the event of complete failure of the Contractor.
