Description

Salmon smolt acoustically tagged in Irish Rivers (the Boyne, Castletown and Shimna) during 2019-2021 as part of the INTERREG VA COMPASS project were subsequently detected by acoustic arrays off western Scotland, in the North Channel, off SW Islay, and in northern Kilbrannan Sound (Arran).The requirement is to model the movement of these smolts using a particle-tracking approach within the flow fields of a high resolution and tide-resolving hydrodynamic model (or models).
