Crown Estate Scotland leases seabed in Shetland to 19 organisations which own and operate marinas. Thirteen of the leases expire in March 2023 and as part of the lease renewal process a review of the seabed rent is required.
This socio-economic study is being undertaken to research and report on the contribution the Shetland marinas make to Scottish Government sustainable development goals in the context of Crown Estate Scotland’s statutory duties under Section 11 of the Crown Estate Scotland Act 2019.
