1.3.1.To build a scaffolding around and over New Register House to allow a series of roof replacement works to be carried out. The scaffolding is required to provide a temporary weatherproof roof over the entirety of New Register House, including the dome feature over the archive space. The temporary roof will require gutters and downpipes to discharge rainwater away from the building. As New Register House is a Grade A listed building, no scaffolding bracing or connections will be allowed to be fixed into the building fabric. Fire Escape and access routes will require to be kept open at ground and basement levels.
