Gartbreck Landfill Site is situated on the Isle of Islay and is the main landfill site used within the island. The proposed landfill cell (NR 29128 57856) will involve adding a cell to the existing Area 2 next to the current operational cell. The new cell will piggyback off Area 1 (capped) and sit to the South West of the Site. The aim of the project is to increase the waste capcity of the site for the next 10 years minimum and therefore a new cell will be constructed to meet these tonnage requirements.
