Multi Storey Flats Fire Strategy Survey

South Lanarkshire Council requires the services of a specialist consultant who has the ability to cover the following key areas:

1. Survey 21 Multi-storey flatted housing blocks.

2. Identify the existing fire compartmentation layout in each block, and record in autocad dwg format.

3. Assess the existing fire resistance of each element separating the compartments.

4. Prepare a Fire Strategy for each block, identifying escape routes, fire doors, smoke control/ventilation, and record in autocad dwg format.

5. Ascertain the integrity of each element separating the compartments and forming the escape routes.

6. Risk assess and specify all remedial and upgrading work required to ensure the integrity of each element separating the compartments, for costing and procurement by others.

7. Monitor remedial works on site.

The Council’s Procurement Service has identified a suitable Procurement for Housing (PfH) Fire Safety Consultancy Framework which contains a relevant discipline for this consultancy.

The framework agreement commenced in August 2020 and runs until 20 July 2024.

No Community Benefits requirements were included in this mini competition.

Variants were not permitted as part of this Invitation to Tender (ITT).

The successful bidder will be required to enter a contract with the Council in terms of the Call off Contract applicable to PfH Fire Safety Consultancy Lot 2 – Fire Safety Consultancy Services framework agreement.
