South Lanarkshire Council has a requirement to maintain portable firefighting equipment, comprising regular checks across a range of Council properties, including Principal Offices and Educational facilities.
The Council’s Procurement Service identified a suitable and accessible Scotland Excel Framework (SXL) – OJEU Reference 2018/S013-025828 for the Supply, Delivery, Servicing and Maintenance of Fire Safety Products 16-17.
Within the Scotland Excel Framework guidance documents users can select which supplier to call off from based on an assessment of their own individual needs to ensure policies and internal governance can be justified with sound commercial reasons.
On review of the options available to South Lanarkshire Council under the Scotland Excel Framework it was agreed that by directly selecting the highest ranked contractor M & S Fire Protection (Glasgow) Ltd for both Lots 1 and 2 framework would provide best value to the Council.
