Scottish Canals operates a successful timberlink operation from Ardrishaig Pier near Lochgilphead. The pier deck is a concrete surface and during the unloading a residue of timber bark is left on the pier deck.
Scottish Canals have a Health & Safety requirement to remove all bark from the pier deck to ensure we maintain a safe, clear working surface.
