North Ayrshire Council (“NAC”) are looking to notify the market of a future contract opportunity to develop the site at the former sheltered housing unit at Afton Court, Afton Road, Stevenston KA20 3EY. In order to reduce the time on site and accelerate the programme the plan is to utilise modular construction. The project will deliver 6 amenity bungalows, 2 one bedrooms and 4 two bedrooms utilising NAC’s standard house type plans. A copy of the plans has been uploaded.
The contractor will be expected to design and build the whole development, and NAC intend to utilise model form SBC563 Design and Build Contract for use in Scotland (DB/Scot).
NAC hope to appoint a contractor during Spring 2021 and complete the works within 28/30 weeks with completion during Autumn/Winter 2021.
