The Council currently utilises its own data centres in Caird Street, Hamilton and Council headquarters. The Council requires to exit the Caird data centre no later than 30 September 2021. The Council has a contract for ‘on-site’ server and storage supply and support with Computacenter which is also due to expire on 31 December 2021.
Due to the impending exit from the Caird data centre the Council requires to appoint a supplier to support them with the transition to a Hybrid-IT model combining Cloud based delivery of IT Services and infrastructure with a traditional data centre delivery model for those systems that are not suitable for, or cannot be provisioned by a Cloud based model.
