The aim of this project is to provide the Project Group – led by Zero Waste Scotland and supported by Transport Scotland and Scottish Enterprise – with a ‘rapid mapping’ exercise for all battery types to broadly assess the market and current disposal methods. This information will feed into a more detailed assessment of electric vehicle batteries, including future casting projections, to ensure Project Group members are better placed to provide support necessary for the industry to accelerate circularity and exploit market opportunities.
