South Lanarkshire Council is the lead Council in undertaking this collaborative procurement exercise for the Supply and Delivery of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables on behalf of, and in consultation with, North Lanarkshire Council
A review of this Framework resulted in our incumbent supplier, George Carruthers & Sons Ltd being the highest ranked provider on the Framework for both North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire Council.
On review of the options available to the Council under the Scotland Excel Framework it was agreed that directly selecting the highest ranked contractor from the framework would provide best value to the Council.
