Award of Project Manager - National Standardised Assessments Re-Procurement

As part of the National Improvement Framework Programme, the Scottish Government has developed a cloud based platform for the delivery of national standardised assessments to publicly funded Scottish schools in both English (SNSA) and Gaelic (MCNG). These assessments are delivered by two contractors on behalf of the Scottish Government: SNSA by ACER UK Ltd; and MCNG by Giglets Ltd. These contracts are due to expire in 2021/22 and we are looking to re-procure a new supplier to provide the assessments – it has been decided that moving forward we will appoint a single contractor to provide assessments in both languages through a single platform. The national standardised assessment re-procurement project has been in place since autumn 2019, utilising existing members of the NIF Unit. A Technology Assurance Framework pre-procurement gateway review conducted in February 2020 identified the appointment of a dedicated, full-time project manager as critical to the success of the hence the desire to recruit a suitable project manager with immediate effect.
