To provide residential short breaks and an outreach service to children in Lothian with learning disabilities, severe challenging behaviour and complex needs.
To provide an assessment service to determine the best support and, where agreed, an appropriate behaviour support programme, for the individual child or young person, including and involving the family according to their needs. A clinical psychologist will contribute to this assessment of the child and family and offer enhanced input on targeted areas of work.
To provide emergency short break beds for periods of up to 14 days as and when required
