The focus for this commission is Zone B, the former Coal Yard and Rail Loop and the proposals include the construction of an engineered earthworks platform to raise site levels and provide a development platform suitable for large scale industrial use. The raising of levels within Zone B has been informed by the flood risk mitigation strategy produced during the initial due diligence stage. The platforming works will require the importation of a large volume of engineering fill material. SE is now seeking to appoint a consultant to design a package of works for site platforming, flood mitigation, drainage and other supplementary work.
