Lothian Health Board is seeking proposals from bidders who can deliver a welfare advice service initially at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children Edinburgh and then the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People Edinburgh when that site opens. The service will work to support families who as a result of their child’s health condition (e.g. long stay in hospital, housebound or difficulty accessing services due to caring responsibilities and vulnerability) cannot access mainstream services for financial support. The service will target families whose child is in hospital or who are attending outpatients and be available to families within NHS Lothian and throughout Scotland.
