sportscotland was seeking to appoint a suitably qualified service provider to provide expert resource in legal matters to Scottish governing bodies of sport in Scotland (SGBs).
sportscotland currently invests in over 50 SGBs in Scotland and annually awards an amount in excess of 15m GBP to these bodies as a primary means of fulfilling sportscotland’s remit as the national agency for sport.
Since 2011, sportscotland has contracted suitably qualified consultants across a range of business disciplines to ensure that governance, financial accounting processes, HR procedures and skills in SGBs are of a high standard. Since 2011, many SGBs have benefitted greatly from this support. sportscotland wishes to further promote and enhance a culture of learning, development and ongoing improvement of SGBs in these business disciplines to suitably equip SGBs with the necessary skills to ensure that they are fit to receive public funding.
