The Council’s main objectives for this procurement exercise are:
to ensure that essential routes are available to the public to use and that there is clear access to the grounds of care homes and residential homes, regardless of weather conditions, in order to avoid risk to lives and damages to properties and vehicles.
This framework will be used mainly during the winter months which the Council defines as the 31st of October until the 30th of April each year. These dates may be subject to change on a year-to-year basis depending on weather conditions and any one-off instances of severe weather conditions.
