East Ayrshire Council wish to commission the University of Strathclyde, Energy Systems Research Unit (ESRU) to provide energy system modelling to support the development of an Outline Business Case that meets the HM Treasury’s Green Book requirements. ESRU will model the current energy system for the NERD region in the context of the wider energy grid and distribution network and model future scenarios to identify options to unlock the potential of local energy generation. The partners of the project are Energy Technology Partnership, Scottish Power Energy Networks and East Ayrshire Council
