Description

The overall aim of sensory impairment awareness and skills training is to impart the skills for working with deaf* (Deaf BSL users, hard of hearing and deafened people, deafblind people) and people with a visual impairment to staff who regularly come into contact with adult members of these groups, e.g. community nurses, care home staff, occupational therapists, etc. It is anticipated that all staff will have completed awareness e-learning packages prior to attending these courses.
