The Partners have commissioned research that will:
Provide a comprehensive understanding of the Scottish cruise tourism ecosystem and the relative opportunities at individual local port, regional and national level;
Identify pressure points and impacts on infrastructure, environment and local communities;
Inform future planning by providing data on likely future sustainable growth at port, region and national level;
Provide the evidence base for local, regional and national cruise development assessments and strategies;
Consider how the changing cruise market may affect Scotland’s position in the market – including the growth of expedition level arrival, out with established port infrastructure.
