Removal of Roof at 1 Dunlop Street & 12 Strand Street, Kilmarnock to facilitate the structural inspection of the walls.
The works are for the careful removal of the slate roof including chimney and the clearance of all internal debris. Works to be carried out in a way that protects the external walls to allow a structural inspection. The existing structural scaffold is to be inspected and repaired where necessary. The scaffold is to remain in place during the works. Whilst this may be the full extent of the works, the Employer reserves the right to further instruct the demolition of the building including the removal of the scaffold should this be deemed appropriate by a Structural Engineer, Building Standards and Planning.
