The National Library of Scotland’s collection currently contains approximately 24 million items, much of the collection has now been digitised and will be stored on servers in Edinburgh and Glasgow. For additional redundancy a third copy of the collection will be held in the cloud. To enable this the National Library of Scotland has a requirement to place a contract with an external service provider for the provision of Cloud Archive Storage. This contract will be for an initial period of 24 months, with the potential for two 12 month extensions.
