East Renfrewshire Council requires an organisation to provide a sheriff officer, diligence and debt recovery service and as part of this service to assist in the recovery process for the collection of Council Tax, Bid levy, former tenant arrears and sundry debts (including Housing benefit overpayments). With regards to Council Tax and Bid levy, this should be recovered using powers conveyed under the Summary Warrant process or any other process which amends or supersedes this process throughout the period of the contract. The Sheriff Officer, Diligence and Debt Recovery Service is more fully described in the specification.
