The project will aim to assess the situation and relevance of seasonal migrant workers outside of agriculture for the Scottish rural and urban economy. It also aims to estimate the number of seasonal workers in the rural economy and the rest of Scotland. Whilst the overall research looks aims to include both urban and rural Scotland (using RESAS classification for the rural economy ), the main focus of the project is expected to be on rural areas.
