The Council is urgently required to meet an essential maintenance programme in the fireproofing to all 59 Nr. of its high-rise properties.
To achieve this the Council has appointed a Hilti approved speciality firestopping contractor to install effective passive fire protection measures using appropriate third-party certified products to all lateral and riser service voids within the Council’s high-rise properties.
In order to facilitate these works the Council require the removal of all timber duct work used to encapsulate service cabling and heating etc pipework and the re-erection of same following installation of the passive fire protection measures.
