Dumfries and Galloway Council as part of Dumfries and Galloway Integrated Joint Board (IJB), requires to procure a new contract for the provision of Adult Day Care Services in Stranraer and The Rhins. Currently, this service provision provides Day Care Services for 33 service users using 78 sessions a week.
Adult Day Care Services offers elderly people a range of activities to help them continue living at home or with their family or carer. The range of activities include:
-Help with everyday tasks and personal care;
-Develop skills and find out the things they can and can’t manage;
-Offer service users the opportunities to be part of their community;
-Allow service users and their carers to get a break; and
-Provide opportunities to meet people and make friends.
