Tender for a Dry Electrode Film Forming Machine

The College of Engineering, based at Swansea University’s Bay campus, wish to tender for a The Dry Electrode Film Forming Machine to enable the manufacture of coatings using solvent-free processes. This machine will consist of a calendaring component with hot rolling capabilities, a dry electrode powder dispersion and feeding system, and roll-to-roll feeding and collecting. Altogether, this machine will use highly dispersed dry powders as feedstock, dispensing and compressing them into a free-standing film. This film can then be compressed onto a suitable substrate, laminating them together to form a composite. The final laminating step will also be performed on the same instrument, making this a highly versatile solutionThe successful supplier must be able to deliver and install their equipment at the Energy Safety Research Institute (ESRI) on Swansea University's Bay Campus, Fabian Way, Crymlyn Burrows, Swansea SA1 8EN (campus map provided within tender documents).NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process. External funding has been granted from the Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for a fixed maximum budget of GBP 87,836.38 excluding VAT (GBP 105,403.66 including VAT) with a project duration of January 2025 to July 2026, so we would like to achieve delivery as soon as is practically possible.(WA Ref:148725)The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
