The Waste Department within Cardiff and Value University Health Board (C&V) have been looking to replace 3 of their current electric Tug fleet which are reaching end of life. The tugs are used daily around the University Hospital of Wales and University Hospital of Llandough to transport wheelie bins from around the site to the relevant disposal location. The purchase of the vehicles would allow the department to save costs on the hire of leased vehicles as well as the high costs of repair for the older vehicles.
