Marketing and Branding Plan for Haverfordwest Castle Flagship Heritage Attraction

Pembrokeshire County Council (PCC) in partnership with the new Haverfordwest Castle CIO (the CIO) has been advised by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) of its success at Round 1 (Development Phase) of its bid to secure £2.68m towards the redevelopment of Haverfordwest Castle. This will include creating an interactive family discovery centre showcasing Pembrokeshire’s past, present, and future through state-of-the-art STEM-based exhibits, together with a redisplay of the Haverfordwest Museum (within the curtilage of the castle in the Governor’s House), external interpretation within the grounds of the castle and a wide-ranging activity plan supporting the capital investment.As part of the development phase, which will run from summer 2024 to autumn 2025, PCC is seeking to appoint a consultancy to prepare a detailed and fully costed marketing and branding plan in advance of the second-round (delivery phase) funding application, which is scheduled for submission in August 2025.This contract is structured as a two stage contract, contingent upon the success of the Delivery Stage application to NLHF. Should the Delivery Stage application be approved, the contract will also encompass the execution of the marketing and branding plan.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
