CONTRACT AWARD NOTICE*This is a notice that the contract has been awarded*TfW are looking to appoint a suitable contractor to undertake the works described below:Location - Area 1 – Waltwood Hill Mitigation Planting AreaWorks Required – Area 1- Replace dead/diseased trees – to be advised by TfW Ecologist- Remove dead/diseased trees and dispose of off site or use prunings to create habitat piles where appropriate- Cutting of grassland throughout plantation area, Cutting as per specification including any removal of cuttings.- Application of herbicide around planted trees as per specification- Injurious weed control (thistles and dock)Location 2 – Area 2 – Llanwern Woodland Planting AreaWorks required – Area 2- Replace dead/diseased trees – to be advised by TfW Ecologist- Remove dead/diseased trees and dispose of off site or use prunings to create habitat piles where appropriate- Cutting of grassland/vegetation throughout plantation areas, cutting as per specification including any removal of cuttings- Application of herbicide around planted trees as per specification- Injurious/Invasive weed treatment (Himalayan Balsam)Further information can be found in the tender documents
